Customer Case Study
Advanced Pattern Recognition (APR) identified abnormally high generator bearing temperatures on one of our client’s offshore wind turbines.
All other parameters, including a review of the online CMS data by the client’s in-house experts, confirmed no other anomalies.
Following the recommendation to confirm the correct operation of the auto-grease lubrication system, two issues were identified:
- Restricted supply of grease; pump & pipework replaced.
- Grease exhaust ports replaced with intended larger modified items. Error in replacement generator configuration.
Early detection and rapid resolution minimised the repair costs and maximised the asset useful life.
